By accessing or using Scanni ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. During our closed testing phase, these Terms are subject to updates as we refine our services; material changes will be communicated in advance.

To improve App performance and reliability, Scanni may collect app usage data and crash diagnostics through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics respectively.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy on a privacy matter, the Privacy Policy shall prevail.
Where you provide personal information (such as an email address for testing access), you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of this section.
Scanni is available to users of all ages. Users under the applicable age of majority in their jurisdiction must use the App with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. Where local law requires parental consent for data processing of minors (including for telemetry), such consent must be provided by a parent or guardian before the minor uses the App. If you believe a minor is using the App without appropriate consent, please contact us at privacy@scanni.help.
The Scanni wordmark, logos, "product card" designs, and original software are the exclusive intellectual property of Scanni and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes during the testing period. This licence does not include the right to sublicense, modify, distribute, or create derivative works. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the App. Features, integrations, and telemetry practices may change as the service evolves. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes (including changes to third-party integrations or data practices) via in-app notification or email where practicable.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scanni shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to reliance on scanning results or currency conversion data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for reasons including, but not limited to: violation of these Terms, legal or regulatory requirements, security concerns, or the conclusion of the testing phase. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice where possible. Upon termination, your licence to use the App ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) shall do so.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts, except that nothing in this clause prevents you from bringing claims before your local consumer tribunal or enforcing mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence. EEA and UK users retain all rights afforded by their applicable mandatory consumer protection and data protection laws, which these Terms do not override.

These Terms carry the version number and effective date shown at the top of this document. Prior versions of these Terms are available upon request by emailing privacy@scanni.help. Continued use of the App after a new version takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
